Position Purpose

Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install commercial/industrial Plumbing systems and related equipment, as assigned in a timely high-quality manner to meet customer commitments and expectations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasking within the hours allotted in a high-quality manner. 
  • Upon notification of a customer problem, follow systematic questioning techniques and relate answers to the functioning of the system.
  • Follow point to point trouble shooting guides to find faults in a timely manner.
  • Check and verify operation of complete system before leaving the jobsite to minimize callbacks.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and energy savings within existing plumbing related systems.
  • Review such recommendations with Sr. Plumbing Service Manager. 
  • Communicate with the customer upon arrival and at completion of work.
  • Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork and customer signed service reports to be handed in daily.
  • Keep Sr. Manager informed of any customer related concerns.
  • Demonstrate capability and interest in training others.
  • Keep technical knowledge up to date regarding equipment and concepts.
  • Call in daily to dispatch to update status of work for the day as well as to support the coordination of upcoming work.
  • Support and maintain a safe and Lean work environment.

Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Must be a Journeyman Plumber with at least 5 years of experience working with large industrial/commercial Plumbing systems & equipment.
  • Backflow testing certification preferred. 
  • Good computer skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, scaffolds, confined spaces and enter restricted areas for first hand observation or inspection.  
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or overtime when required per on-call schedule.
